Hoeven Announces Aging Research Funding to UND
WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), through the National Institute on Aging, has awarded $387,750 to the University of North Dakota (UND). This new grant will be used to support research regarding aging and how chronic allergen exposure may be a risk factor for Alzheimer’s disease.
“Today’s funding from HHS will support UND’s research on aging, and help examine risk factors that may lead to the development of Alzheimer’s disease,” said Hoeven.
