Hoeven: DOJ Awards Funding to Bismarck's Abused Adult Resource Center to Support Survivors of Sexual Assault & Domestic Violence
WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), through the Office of Violence Against Women, has awarded $515,000 to the Abused Adult Resource Center in Bismarck. This funding comes from the Transitional Housing Assistance Program and will be used to support survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault and stalking by helping them acquire permanent housing, secure employment and integrate into the community.
“The Transitional Housing Assistance Program helps ensure survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault and stalking receive proper support. Today’s grant will assist the Abused the Abused Adult Resource Center in Bismarck as they continue their efforts to provide services and resources to survivors in the surrounding area,” said Hoeven.
