Hoeven: Army Awards $15.5 Million Contract for Renovations of 91st Missile Wing Headquarters at Minot Air Force Base
WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Defense Appropriations Committee, today announced that the Department of the Army has awarded a nearly $15.5 million contract to begin Phase 1 renovations of the 91st Missile Wing’s Command Headquarters Building at Minot Air Force Base. Phase I of the renovation includes interior demolition as well as upgrading existing industrial areas to include HVAC, electronics-labs and missile communications. Phase I of the two-phased project is set to be completed in 2023.
“The Minot Air Force Base plays a crucial role in our nation’s defense,” said Hoeven. “These funds, provided through the Defense Appropriations bill, will enable demolition and renovations to begin on the headquarters of the 91st Missile Wing. These renovations will ensure that the building not only meets safety standards, but also will ensure the 91st Missile Wing can continue to execute its vital deterrence mission.”
