SDA Mission Progress Review

EMERADO, N.D. – On Friday, July 26, Senator John Hoeven and Space Development Agency (SDA) Director Derek Tournear will review progress on the SDA facilities being developed at the Grand Forks Air Force Base. Hoeven and Tournear will tour the SDA Operations Center North as well as the agency’s satellite Test and Checkout Center (TCC). This follows Hoeven’s efforts to secure a central role for North Dakota in the SDA low-Earth orbit mission, which will serve as the backbone for all U.S. military communications and, between Grand Forks and Fargo, will have three facilities in the state. Press are invited to join Hoeven and Tournear for the tour of the TCC, which will be immediately followed by a media availability.
