Rugby Medical Center Grand Opening

RUGBY, N.D. – On Tuesday, August 27, Senator John Hoeven will mark the completion of the Heart of America Medical Center (HAMC) in Rugby. As Ranking Member of the Senate Agriculture Appropriations Committee, Hoeven worked to secure more than $55 million in U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) loans for HAMC to construct a new hospital, clinic and long-term care facility. The new medical center will replace HAMC’s prior hospital, clinics and long-term care facility in the community, of which the original hospital and clinic were built in the 1940s and had become cost-prohibitive to update or repair.
