RRV Flood Protection Review with Army Corps Chief, Assistant Secretary of the Army

On Tuesday, May 9, Senator John Hoeven will tour the Red River Valley’s comprehensive flood protection project with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers leadership, including Army Corps Chief Scott Spellmon and Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works Michael Connor. Hoeven is joining the Corps leaders at the first-in-the-nation project to discuss how it can serve as a model for the U.S. to complete projects more quickly and at a lower cost. Hoeven, Spellmon and Connor will kick off the tour with a media availability at the Diversion Inlet Structure. Media are asked to arrive at the site in advance of the group.
