Round Table with Law Enforcement Officials

Wednesday Morning, Hoeven will lead a roundtable discussion with western North Dakota law enforcement officials and North Dakota Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem to address the changing law enforcement needs in the Bakken Region. The senator recently spoke with Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) head Michele Leonhart to ensure that DEA is providing the necessary support to local and state officials in North Dakota to fight increasing drug crimes, and he invited her to meet with him in North Dakota or in Washington to address the issue. He has also pressed the FBI to open an office with additional agents in Williston to support local and state law enforcement efforts.
