Reviewing Project Tundra Test Well
On Friday, September 4, Senator John Hoeven will review Project Tundra’s test well at the Milton R. Young Station and outline efforts to advance the development of carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) technologies. Project Tundra is a post-combustion technology to retrofit existing power plants, being led by Minnkota Power and the University of North Dakota’s Energy and Environment Research Center (EERC), as well as BNI Coal and Allete Clean Energy.
The site visit will include a tour of the project’s infrastructure and drilling rig, and will conclude with a media availability. Media should RSVP toalex_finken@hoeven.senate.gov and will be required to check in at the facility’s front gate upon arrival.
