Promise of Peace Statue Dedication

Senator Hoeven will be in Dunseith on Sunday, July 24 to deliver welcoming remarks at the dedication of the Promise of Peace statue at the International Peace Garden. The monument recognizes 200 years of peaceful co-existence between the United States and Canada and is on the 49th parallel, the longest Intercontinental border in the world.

The 6 ft. tall monument is predicted to last at least 800 years and was sponsored by the Wally Byam Caravan Club International and the local Airstream club.
