Hoeven to Review Minot Nuclear Missions with USAF Chief of Staff, Head of Global Strike Command & Senate Colleagues

On Friday, April 30, Senator John Hoeven will join General Charles Brown, U.S. Air Force Chief of Staff; General Timothy Ray, Commander of Air Force Global Strike Command; and a bipartisan group of his Senate colleagues in reviewing the dual nuclear missions of the Minot Air Force Base. Other senators attending with Hoeven include  Senators Angus King (I-Maine), Deb Fischer (R-Neb.), Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.) and Joni Ernst (R-Iowa). As a member of the Senate Defense Appropriations Committee, Hoeven has been working to ensure the modernization of the nation’s nuclear forces, including the bombers and Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles in Minot, is fully funded and stays on schedule. Hoeven will hold a media availability at the conclusion of the visit.
