Hoeven to Participate in Health Care Reform Meeting

Senator Hoeven will participate in a health care reform meeting with North Dakota officials and Rep. Mike Burgess (R-Texas), M.D., chairman of the Health Subcommittee of the House’s Energy and Commerce Committee, which is one of two House committees with primary jurisdiction in developing health care reform legislation. The meeting will focus on strategies to ensure a smooth transition away from Obamacare and toward a health care system that increases patient choice, lowers costs and improves access to quality, affordable care. Media are invited to attend the final 15 minutes of the meeting and the press conference following the meeting.
