Hoeven to Honor NDNG 164th Engineer Battalion

Senator Hoeven will honor the NDNG 164 Engineering Battalion as they receive the Valorous Unit Award. Awarded to units who display extraordinary heroism against an armed enemy, this is the second highest military unit decoration. In 2006, then Governor Hoeven traveled to Iraq and visited this group while on mission. Major General Al Dohrmann will be presenting this award earned from their 2005-2006 deployment. Hoeven serves as a member of the Senate committees that oversee appropriations for defense, military construction and veterans affairs.
