Hoeven Pitches Grand Sky to Raytheon Executives, Introduces Company to UAS Leaders in Grand Forks Region

Senator Hoeven will host Raytheon executives in Grand Forks in a bid to recruit the company to Grand Sky Business and Technology Park. Raytheon Company is a major defense industry contractor that specializes in weapons, military and commercial electronics, including air traffic control systems, radar and sensing technology.

The senator has successfully brought Northrop Grumman, a global aerospace and defense technology giant that manufactures the Global Hawk, and General Atomics, manufacturer of the Predator and Reaper UAS, to Grand Sky. During the meeting with Raytheon, the senator will highlight the dynamic UAS technology and business environment that North Dakota has to offer, in addition to his work to get approval from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to secure authorization for beyond-line-of-sight operability.
