Hoeven, Burgum to Meet with Energy Secretary Granholm at UND's EERC
On Thursday, October 14, Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, and Governor Doug Burgum will host U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Secretary Jennifer Granholm at the University of North Dakota’s Energy & Environmental Research Center (EERC). Hoeven and Burgum invited Granholm to visit the state to learn about North Dakota’s all-of-the-above approach to energy development as well as efforts to crack the code on carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) technologies.
That morning, Hoeven, Burgum and Granholm will hold a roundtable discussion with energy stakeholders. Participants will include EERC’s leadership as well as representatives from the state’s coal, oil, gas, ethanol, wind and solar industries. The event will conclude with a media availability.
