Hoeven Bringing Energy Officials to North Dakota to Highlight Work of UND EERC

Senator John Hoeven will bring U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) officials to North Dakota to highlight the efforts of the Energy and Environmental Research Center (EERC) at the University of North Dakota (UND) and its partners. The senator arranged the visit by Steven Winberg, Assistant Secretary for Fossil Energy, and Lou Hrkman, Deputy Assistant Secretary (DAS) for Clean Coal and Carbon Management, as part of his efforts to bolster DOE’s support for the EERC and help advance the development of carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) technologies, including Project Tundra.
