Groundbreaking for New Lineworker Training Facility

On Thursday, May 6, Senator John Hoeven will help break ground on the North Dakota Association of Rural Electric Cooperatives (NDAREC) and Bismarck State College’s (BSC) new lineworker training facility. The facility will build upon the 50 years of partnership between the college and NDAREC, supporting enhanced, year-round training opportunities for the region’s electric industry. As a member of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, Hoeven is working to ensure the reliability and affordability of the electric grid, including his efforts to crack the code on carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) technologies and support the continued use of baseload power sources, like coal.
