FEMA Meeting with Roy Wright, City of Minot Officials

Hoeven will host Roy Wright, Deputy Associate Administrator for Insurance and Mitigation and the Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA), for a meeting and tour with local and county officials in Minot.

Hoeven organized the meeting and tour so that FEMA administrators can hear directly from local officials about efforts to rebuild the city from the historic floods of 2011 and to discuss how they can work together to protect the community going forward. Specifically, they will discuss the impact of FEMA’s new flood plain maps on insurance rates and FEMA’s future plans for remapping.
