EERC-DGC Announcement

GRAND FORKS, N.D. – On Friday, May 3, Senator John Hoeven will announce a new award to the University of North Dakota (UND) Energy & Environmental Research Center (EERC) to advance a new monitoring project at the Dakota Gasification Company’s (DGC) expansion of carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS) operations at the Great Plains Synfuels Plant. The award will carry the project into its next phase and comes as part of Hoeven’s broader efforts to ensure continued access to affordable and reliable baseload power sources, like coal.
