Coronavirus Food Assistance Program Review with North Dakota Producers
On Tuesday, April 21, Senator John Hoeven, chairman of the Senate Agriculture Appropriations Committee, will hold a video conference with North Dakota producers and commodity groups to review the roll-out of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s $19 billion Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP). The program is funded through the emergency funding Hoeven secured in the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act as well as Credit Commodity Corporation (CCC) funding. The senator is holding the discussion to gather input to bring back to the administration as it works to finalize the details of the program in the coming days.
