Advisory: Hoeven to Outline Efforts to Improve Veteran's Access to Mental Health Treatment & Local Health Care at Roundtable in Fargo

FARGO, N.D. – On Friday, September 6, Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Appropriations Committee, will hold a roundtable with officials from the Fargo VA Health Care System, TriWest, veteran service organizations and local veterans to outline his ongoing initiatives to improve benefits and services for veterans. The senator will announce a new opportunity for veterans in North Dakota and Minnesota to access alternative treatments for post-traumatic stress disorder, followed by a discussion on efforts to improve veterans’ ability to access local health care, enable more long-term care facilities to accept veteran patients and ensure veterans’ community care appointments are scheduled promptly.
