Hoeven Statement on the Confirmation of Andrew Wheeler as EPA Deputy Administrator

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven today issued the following statement after the Senate confirmed Andrew Wheeler as the Deputy Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

“Andrew Wheeler has extensive and relevant experience for this post, through his time both at the EPA and as staff director for the Senate’s Environment and Public Works Committee,” Hoeven said. “We look forward to working with him to advance a state-led regulatory approach that will help improve environmental stewardship through local innovation and technology development, while also providing important regulatory relief for essential sectors of our economy, such as agriculture and energy.”
