Hoeven Statement on President's Announcement to End CSR Payments
BISMARCK, N.D. – Senator John Hoeven released the following statement after the Administration announced it will end the Obamacare cost-sharing reduction (CSR) subsidies to insurance companies with policies on the Obamacare exchanges.
“We need to give consumers more control over their health care insurance and through competition and choice make health insurance more affordable,” said Hoeven. “That’s why I’ve supported health care legislation that repeals and replaces Obamacare but also provides a short term stabilization fund to help stabilize insurance rates. We need to continue working to find agreement to stabilize the health care market and to provide Americans with patient-centered health care and health insurance at an affordable rate.”
