Hoeven Statement on President's Address to the Nation

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven today issued the following statement after the President addressed the nation and outlined the importance of funding to secure the border and address humanitarian needs at the southern border:

“Tonight, the President made a very strong case to the nation and outlined the urgent need to secure our border, not only to keep our nation safe but to help address humanitarian needs. We need border security because it is integral to our national security, which is why I believe we need to include funding to secure the border as part of an agreement to fund the remaining 25 percent of government.”
