Hoeven: HHS Awards Rural Health Funding to UND
BISMARCK, N.D. – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has awarded $1,065,742 to the University of North Dakota (UND). This grant will support the Medicare Rural Hospital Flexibility program to strengthen Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs) and rural emergency medical services (EMS), improving the delivery of quality care to patients in rural communities.
“Access to health care in rural communities is central to our quality of life in North Dakota, and today’s funding will bolster UND’s efforts to support providers and improve the health and well-being of our rural residents,” said Hoeven.
