Hoeven: HHS Awards More Than $100,000 to North Dakota State Department of Health
WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, who serves on the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee, announced today that the Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) Office of Surveillance, Epidemiology and Laboratory Services (OSELS) has awarded $105,326 to the North Dakota State Department of Health. The funds will be used to support efforts that work to promote health and prevent disease, injury and disability.
“Investing in programs like this will not only help to keep North Dakotans in good health, but will help reduce health-care costs over time,” Hoeven said. “Today’s grant will support investigations of communicable diseases and other preventable health conditions in order to promote health and prevent disease.”
