Hoeven Announces $5.7 Million in Federal Funding to Support Hettinger, Mohall Airports
WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven today announced that the Department of Transportation (DOT) has awarded $4.2 million to Adams County Airport Authority to rehabilitate the runway at Hettinger Municipal Airport and $1.5 million to the City of Mohall to construct an apron and extend the taxiway for Mohall Municipal Airport.
“As North Dakota’s economy continues to grow, so have our state’s transportation needs,” Hoeven said. “These DOT grants will support important airport improvements to ensure pilot and passenger safety.”
As a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, Senator Hoeven works to support programs that invest in infrastructure and other services to meet the needs of North Dakota’s growing population and commerce. Earlier this month, Hoeven announced more than $9 million in DOT funds to build and repair airports in Tioga, Garrison and Dickinson.
