Hoeven Announces Nearly $400K Toward $27 Million in FAA Funds to Support Williston Airport Relocation
WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, who serves on the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has awarded $381,686 to the City of Williston to support the relocation of the Sloulin Field International Airport. Today’s award builds on the $26.6 million in grants Hoeven announced last week, following a call with FAA Administrator Michael Huerta.
“Our communities need up-to-date transportation infrastructure that will support their long-term growth,” Hoeven said. “Today’s grant is another important step towards the timely completion of Williston’s new airport, which will provide airfield capability that is on par with the region’s needs as well as greater passenger safety.”
