Statement of Senator John Hoeven on Thanksgiving Day 2012

BISMARCK, N.D. – Senator John Hoeven today gave the following statement wishing all North Dakotans a Happy Thanksgiving.

“Today, as people from across our great state and nation join together with family, friends and loved ones to celebrate Thanksgiving Day, it is fitting that we pause and offer thanks for our many blessings. We remain especially grateful for the resilience and character of the American people and recall the spirit and strength of the Pilgrims and Native Americans who celebrated the first Thanksgiving in 1621. We pray that these same values will continue to guide and inspire our great nation, and we offer our thanks to God and our forebears for all of the blessings we celebrate today. Happy Thanksgiving to all.”
