HOEVEN VOICES SUPPORT FOR UAS AMENDMENT ON SENATE FLOOR
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Sen. John Hoeven (R-N.D.) today spoke on the Senate floor in support of an amendment to boost unmanned aerial systems (UAS) operations and training in North Dakota and to highlight the importance of these aviation systems at home and abroad. The amendment to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Reauthorization bill would authorize the FAA, in coordination with the military, to develop national certification and flight standards, and concurrent or layered airspaces in the National Airspace System for UAS.
