Hoeven: USDA Awards Grant, Approves Loan for Lakota City Library Addition
WASHINGTON — Senator John Hoeven, who serves on the U.S. Senate Agriculture Committee and Agriculture Appropriations Subcommittee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Rural Development has awarded a grant of $119,800 and approved a loan of $48,600 for an addition to the existing Lakota City Library. Specifically, the funds will be used to add space with additional square footage, build a handicap accessible entrance and incorporate updated wiring to enhance technology access.
“Libraries not only provide North Dakotans with access to technology, learning materials and books, but they’re also an important part of the community,” Hoeven said. “Today’s grant will fund an addition to Lakota City Library, which will allow residents to enjoy expanded services.”
