Hoeven to Serve as Senior Member of Senate Agriculture, Energy Committees in 118th Congress
Senator Continues as Ranking Member for Senate Agriculture Appropriations Committee
WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven today announced that he will serve on the following Senate committees: Agriculture; Appropriations; Energy and Natural Resources; and Indian Affairs. Further, Hoeven will continue serving as the Ranking Member of the Senate Agriculture Appropriations Committee, is second in line among Republicans to lead the Senate Agriculture Committee, and is a senior member of the Senate Energy Committee.
“As a senior member on the Senate Agriculture, Energy and Appropriations Committees, I will be well-positioned to continue advancing North Dakota’s priorities, especially on behalf of our state’s two largest industries, agriculture and energy,” said Hoeven. “In particular, my role as Ranking Member of the Senate Agriculture Appropriations Committee, as well as my seniority in the Senate Agriculture Committee, will be important assets as Congress begins working on the next Farm Bill. This will help ensure our state’s farmers and ranchers have access to the tools they need to continue competing in the global marketplace and providing the high quality, low cost food supply that we depend of every single day.”
