Hoeven Statement on Today's United Nations Vote on Jerusalem

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven today released the following statement after the United Nations voted to reject President Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

“The United Nations’ vote today is disappointing. We continue to support the president’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and begin the process of moving the U.S. embassy – a policy that was directed by Congress with strong bipartisan support in 1995 and again by the Senate earlier this year.”
