FARGO, N.D. –Senator John Hoeven released the following statement today following a NATO helicopter crash in Afghanistan that killed 31 Americans and seven Afghan soldiers:
“The loss of so many of our service members in one incident is a stark reminder to all Americans of the true cost of our freedoms. These brave Americans, many of them part of the U.S. Navy SEALs unit responsible for bringing Osama bin Laden to justice, served our nation with honor and courage. We extend our sincere gratitude to all the men and women serving our nation and vow to honor the memory of those who made the ultimate sacrifice defending our values and our way of life. Our thoughts and prayers today are with the families and friends of the U.S. service members who lost their lives defending our freedoms.”Next Article Previous Article
