Hoeven Statement on Severe Weather Impacting Watford City Residents

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven released the following statement today after a tornado caused significant damage in the Watford City area, injuring and displacing residents of a local recreational vehicle park.

“Our prayers are with the individuals and families impacted by this disaster in the Watford City region. Further, we extend our gratitude to all of the emergency personnel who are helping to ensure those affected receive treatment and shelter, as well as the local businesses and citizens who have pledged their support. Shari Buck from my office, and based in Watford City, is working with local and state authorities to support these efforts and deliver assistance to those who have been injured or displaced. We hope for the community and residents’ quick and full recovery.”
