Hoeven Statement on Pearl Harbor Attack Anniversary

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven today issued the following statement on the 71st anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941:

“Today we remember the terrible tragedy our nation experienced at Pearl Harbor seventy-one years ago, and we mourn those who were lost. But we also remember how, in the face of such a challenge, our nation came together with a common purpose. The years that followed were a time of unity and shared sacrifice for the Greatest Generation. Some went to war, some went to work for the war effort, but all gave of themselves for the sake of our nation and the freedom we enjoy today. Their efforts serve as an inspiration for all of us as we work to build a secure future for our nation.”
