Hoeven Statement on Passing of Barbara Bush

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven today issued the following statement after the passing of former First Lady Barbara Bush:

“We are saddened to hear of the passing of Barbara Bush. She was unquestionably one of our country’s most influential First Ladies and shares the distinction with Abigail Adams as being a wife and mother to Presidents. We look back with appreciation on her contributions to our nation, especially her efforts to promote education and greater opportunity for families across the country. Mikey and I extend our condolences to the entire Bush family.”
