Hoeven Statement on New Soybean Crushing Facility to be Constructed Near Casselton

CASSELTON, N.D. – Senator John Hoeven today issued the following statement after CGB Enterprises, Inc. and Minnesota Soybean Processors announced plans to construct a soybean crushing plant near Casselton. The facility aligns with Hoeven’s long-term efforts to provide value-added opportunities for the state’s farmers, including expanding the nexus between the state’s agriculture and energy industries. 

“This announcement is welcome news for Cass County, farmers in the region and our entire state,” said Hoeven. “This investment will not only bring good jobs to the region, it will provide another opportunity for farmers to get their product to market. That means more demand and a better return for their hard work. At the same time, the new crush plant will help increase the partnership between North Dakota’s ag and energy industries, expanding our leadership in both of these vital sectors. We will continue working to support this venture and help bring the project to completion.”
