Hoeven Statement on Budget Agreement

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven released the following statement after Congress passed a bipartisan two-year budget agreement:

“The Trump Administration negotiated with House Democrats to reach an agreement that will allow us to fund the government and ensure our nation meets its financial obligations at a funding level below the House-passed appropriations bills. While I would have liked to find additional savings, the Administration negotiated the best deal they could and secured $77 billion in offsets. At the same time, the budget deal ensures that we can continue to make critical investments to rebuild our military and support our veterans.”
