Hoeven Statement in Honor of Veterans, Families

FARGO, N.D. – Senator John Hoeven today issued the following statement in commemoration of Veterans Day:

“With courage and selflessness, the men and women of the Armed Forces and their families have served our nation and kept us safe through our most trying times, day and night, during every season. Accordingly, we designate a special time to celebrate, remember and honor their sacrifices, which is appropriate. We should, however, remember and honor them not only on Veterans Day, and not only when we are in a time of war, but throughout the years. We owe them an immense debt of gratitude for their brave sacrifices and the freedom we have today because of those sacrifices. We owe them a debt we can never adequately repay, but must always strive to.”
