Hoeven: Senate Passes Bipartisan Resolution Honoring the American Cowboy

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Western Caucus, today announced that the Senate has passed a bipartisan resolution he cosponsored declaring today, July 25, as National Day of the American Cowboy. This resolution was introduced by Senator Mike Enzi (R-Wyo.), and honors the legacy and contributions of America’s cowboys.

“The American Cowboy embodies the spirit of hard work, determination and grit,” said Hoeven. “Our cowboys and ranchers helped shape the American West and this bipartisan resolution deeming today the National Day of the American Cowboy acknowledges the legacy they’ve instilled in our nation and continue to display today.” 

Additional cosponsors of the resolution include Senators John Barrasso (R-Wyo.), Michael Bennet (D-Colo.), Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.), Mike Crapo (R-Idaho), James Inhofe (R-Okla.), Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.), Mike Rounds (R-S.D.), Jon Tester (D-Mont.), and Tom Udall (D-N.M.).
