Hoeven: Senate Approves Resolution Designating National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Native American Women and Girls
WASHINGTON - Senator John Hoeven today issued the following statement after the Senate approved a resolution designating today as a National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered American Women and Girls. Hoeven is a cosponsor of the bipartisan Senate resolution.
“The Senate unanimously approved this bipartisan resolution today to help raise greater awareness about the tragedy of missing and murdered Native American women and girls. We are working not only to raise awareness, but to provide resources to improve public safety in tribal communities and help stop the violence taking too many lives,” said Hoeven.
