Hoeven Marks 150th Anniversary of the Elks Lodge
WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven this week submitted a statement into the Senate record recognizing the 150th anniversary of the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks, also known as the Elks Lodge. The statement celebrates the order’s dedication to the ideals of charity, justice and patriotism as well as the work of its nearly one million members nationwide to build stronger communities. Hoeven’s full statement can be found here.
“The members of the Elks Lodge fill an important role in communities across our country,” said Hoeven. “Among their many contributions, they provide assistance to our veterans and support education and substance abuse prevention for youth. Our nation is stronger as a result of their efforts, and we thank them for their continued service.”
