Hoeven: HUD Awards $3 Million to North Dakota Housing Finance Agency
WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, who serves on the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the North Dakota Housing Finance Agency has received a $3 million grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Fiscal Year (FY) 2016 Housing Trust Fund Allocation. The funds will be used to increase and preserve the supply of rental housing for extremely low-income families and increase homeownership for extremely low-income and very low-income families.
“All North Dakotans deserve access to safe, affordable housing,” Hoeven said. “This HUD grant will better enable the North Dakota Housing Agency to provide housing that helps provide a solid foundation for those who are vulnerable and seeking economic security.”
