Hoeven Honors Officers at Annual Law Enforcement Memorial Day Event in Fargo
Senator Commemorates Life and Service of Fargo Officer Jason Moszer
FARGO, N.D. – Senator John Hoeven today spoke at the 21st annual Law Enforcement Memorial Day event in Fargo to commemorate and pay tribute to peace officers who have died in the line of duty.
“Our law enforcement officers are committed to our communities and put their lives on the line to keep us safe,” Hoeven said. “Today we honor their courage and commitment, which was so clearly demonstrated by one of their own, Fargo Officer Jason Moszer, who gave his life earlier this year in the line of duty. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. We cannot thank our law enforcement officers like Jason enough for their enduring resolution to safeguard us and our loved ones, and we are indebted to them every day for their selfless work.”
This year, 252 fallen officers from 2015 and preceding years will be added to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, DC. Officer Moszer’s name will be added to the memorial next year.
