Hoeven: HHS to Provide Nearly $23 Million for Home Heating Assistance in North Dakota

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) will distribute nearly $23 million to help low-income North Dakotans heat their homes. The funds are made available through the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) and include nearly $5.5 million for tribes in the state.

“Today’s funding will ease the strain that winter can bring on families’ budgets and help them to stay safe and warm throughout the season,” Hoeven said.
