Hoeven: HHS Awards More Than $500K to Valley Community Health Centers

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, who serves on the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded $516,971 to Valley Community Health Centers in Northwood. The funds will be used to perform facility renovations, expansions or construction in order to increase patient capacity and provide health services to underserved areas. HHS expects the funding to serve approximately 4,800 new patients.

“We continue working hard to ensure that North Dakotans have access to the health care services they need,” Hoeven said. “This grant will help Valley Community Health Centers better serve the community and provide important health care services to thousands of residents in the Northwood area.”
