Hoeven Encourages North Dakota High School Marching Bands to Apply for 2019 National Independence Day Parade
Selected Bands Will Have Opportunity to Represent North Dakota at Annual Fourth of July Parade in Washington, D.C.
WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven today announced that the 2019 National Independence Day Parade is seeking applications from high school marching bands interested in representing the State of North Dakota in the annual Independence Day Parade. Hoeven encourages interested North Dakota high school marching bands to apply through his Bismarck office at (701) 250-4618 no later than Monday, April 9.
“The National Independence Day Parade runs through the streets of our nation’s capital and is an enduring tradition that brings Americans together from across the country to celebrate our country’s independence,” Hoeven said. “I encourage marching bands from North Dakota high schools to contact my office to apply so they have the opportunity to participate in this historic event.”
The parade, sponsored by the National Park Service, features military and veterans units and marching bands from across the country. For more information, click here.
