Hoeven: DOT Awards $112,000 to Enhance Safety at Mott Municipal Airport
WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven today announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has awarded $112,000 to Mott Municipal Airport Authority. The grant will fund the instillation of the replacement lighted wind cone and the replacement airport beacon, which provides pilots with critical airfield location information.
“Our airports support economic activity and also our residents’ quality of life,” Hoeven said. “In order to make sure that they can continue providing safe and reliable transportation, it’s important to invest in safety enhancements that will help to ensure pilot and passenger safety. Today’s grant will do just that for the airport in Mott.”
As a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, Senator Hoeven works to support infrastructure investments and other services to meet the needs of North Dakota’s population and commerce.
