Hoeven: Delegation to Sponsor Information Service Academy Evening in Bismarck on May 17
WASHINGTON – The offices of Senator John Hoeven, Senator Heidi Heitkamp and Congressman Kevin Cramer will be hosting an informational Service Academy Evening at the Raymond J. Bohn Armory in Bismarck on May 17. The event will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and will feature representatives from the Air Force Academy, the Naval Academy and Military Academy-West Point.
“Members of Congress take great pride in the opportunity to nominate the finest students to our nation’s esteemed Service Academies,” Hoeven said. “Our Service Academy Evening will provide interested applicants with the opportunity to learn more about the requirements and qualifications they need to be appointed, and we encourage North Dakota students to stop by and learn more about these exciting opportunities.”
Applicants must be unmarried citizens of the United States with no dependents, at least 17 years old, not past their 23rd birthday on July 1st and a resident of North Dakota. The application deadline is October 14, 2016, and applicants are strongly encouraged to apply to all North Dakota Congressional offices.
