Judge Gorsuch is Solid Choice for North Dakota, Nation

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven today released the following statement after a bipartisan majority of the U.S. Senate voted to confirm Judge Neil Gorsuch to be an Associate Justice on the Supreme Court of the United States.

“Justice Gorsuch brings solid experience and important insights to the Supreme Court. Throughout his judicial career, he has shown a deep respect for the Constitution and a solid understanding of the proper role of the judicial branch. He has demonstrated fair and prudent judgement in his opinions and shown that he will uphold the rule of law rather than trying to legislate from the bench. Justice Gorsuch is good for North Dakota and good for our nation."
